APC is looking for a Women’s Rights Policy Advocacy Coordinator to contribute towards ensuring that policy discussions and processes related to digital rights integrate the perspectives of women and people of diverse genders and sexualities. The deadline for applications is 15 August.
Two of APC’s long-time staff and women’s rights leaders are leaving APC’s Women’s Rights Programme as of 1 July: Jac sm Kee and Dafne Sabanes Plou. A leadership team will take over the coordination of the programme.
The fifty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 4 to 15 March 2013 under the theme “Elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls.” The APC Women’s Rights Programme has a full agenda at the event as part of its advocacy efforts supporting women’s and internet rights.
